The world has changed. Years ago an old man coming up to you in the street for a little chat, culminating in an offer of a drink would’ve been nice. In today’s world it is not nice, it is weird. This is a shame.
Patrick (if this even WAS his real name!) could have been a nice old man, he could’ve had many interesting stories to tell, he could’ve given me money or a job or the Brave Little Toaster on Region 2 DVD but not with a German cover (look for it, you won’t find it). BUT. in my 21st Century brain, Patrick was not just an old man he was a perverted old man interested in raping me.
The world has changed. It’s a shame.
